Sounds deja-vu ya? Superman returns... Old man returns... Sleepyhead exit... C4 exit... BN exit..
Old man quits the party in a huff after throwing multiple child like tantrums... and now he is being "invited" to return to the party he founded. Yeah, the party he founded. This was not the UMNO that Onn Jaafar founded, that was made illegal back in late 80s. This is the new one that twisted the NEP, that harped on enriching Umnoputras.. this is the party that the old man made and he is returning to it to "help" accelerate the destruction... I mean its reforms back to its old self.
Of all the people, Muhyideen and Ku Li are the ones that initiate the invite. They say in politics there are no permanent adversaries. True to form... really Ku Li was the one ousted in a bitter battle the last time they clashed... which resulted in the old Umno being made illegal and Ku Li left the scene to form a fledgling Semangat 46. Maybe Ku Li has forgotten the spirit of 46 and has now endorsed the spirit of the new Umno... or is he now merely using Dr. M as a pawn in his effort to unseat ol' sleepyhead?

Old Man Returns....

Not Me... No.. no Not Me..
Who ordered the ban on RPK's website?
There was a big hoo hah the other day when the popular website Malaysia Today was banned by MCMC... so much so we have even Dr. M lashing out on the censorship... not to be outdone, Khairy has also come out with guns blazing against those who ordered the ISPs in Malaysia to block the website.
But until today, nobody seems to be shot. No injuries... because it seems that NO ONE ordered MCMC to block the website.
Energy, Water and Communications Minister Shaziman, who was away when the ban was enforced, confirmed that it was not his decision on returning to the country.
Since NO ONE ordered the website to be blocked... then who is it that dear botak is defending la?
Shaberry also denied that he was behind it. Deputy Minister of Energy and Telecommunication, Edward Salang also deny issuing the move.
But I am quite certain the person responsible for it was stated in the news somewhere......
Here?
MCMC chief operating officer Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi, when contacted today, confirmed that the block was ordered by the commission, which is the regulatory body for online content.
"It is being blocked because we found that some of the comments on the website were insensitive, bordering on incitement," he told Malaysiakini.
The question is can MCMC be the mother of all censor board? Do we have a rogue COO? Who is the "we" that he is talking about?
Mohamed Sharil said MCMC had instructed all ISPs to block access to Malaysia Today based on complaints received by the general public regarding offensive comments posted on the website.
Asked if the move to block Malaysia Today went against the government’s guarantee of Internet freedom, he said that the matter was subject to interpretation.
“We are governed by the Communications and Multimedia Act (1998) which allows us to take preventive measures and advise our license holders (such as ISPs) when a service user may be contravening national laws,” he said.
Under Section 263 of the Act, a licensee must “use his best endeavour” to prevent his/her facilities from being used to violate any law in the country".
Mohamed Sharil said that MCMC will be communicating with the Malaysia Today owner Raja Petra Kamaruddin and other blog owners soon regarding “ethical blogging”.
“We are not against blogs, but we would like to see ethical blogging,” he stressed.
Is this a threat? Do we need an internet nanny to tell us what we can do and cannot do?
While they are asking who gave the order, I guess when it comes to crunch time and nobody wants to be blamed, poor Mohamed Sharil will have to play the fall guy for being the idiot that gave the order. It was his order and his alone.... nobody else ordered him to.. no doubt that many of us would believe the one who ordered the ban must be someone keeping a very elegant and explosive silence.

Real Man of Honor - Part 2
Gee... movies are into sequel. So are my articles.... LOL!!!!
In Real Man of Honor there was this lone Justice Ian Chin who was bold enough to come up with an expose. Fairly so, Dr. M hit back saying no such things while DSAI skirted the issue and said he was never present at any function to talk to the judges. Nothing much came out of it worth writing actually.... not until this, Former judge hits out at Dr. M.
A retired Federal Court judge has lashed out at Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad alleging that the former premier had wanted to amend Article 121 of the Federal Constitution because he wanted the judiciary to be under his control.
“I believe the Prime Minister at the time wanted to become a dictator; I may be wrong but this is my conclusion,” Tan Sri Azmi Kamaruddin yesterday told reporters after receiving ex-gratia payment from the Government for the pain and loss he suffered during the 1988 judicial crisis.
Will more judges come out and speak about the wrong that happened? We, the Malaysians are still waiting.....This one I like.. Take the money and then tell all.... a good advise to all Malaysians.. if any politicians come a calling to offer you money to vote for them... take the money first. Decide with your conscience... then the money is not a "bribe" but a "donation".
Where I learnt it from? Najib... on the commission for submarine. All you need is to repharse the term and it is HALAL MONEY.

Real Man of Honor
Need I say more.
He is most worthy to be addressed as
YOUR HONOR
The full text of Sarawak's High Court Judge Datuk HC Ian Chin's speech in court HERE which probably shook the foundations of the judiciary to bits if the VK Lingam debacle had not yet done so.Borneo Post has this report on the explosive disclosure here.
I am no legal eagle but err.... isnt Dr. M in much hot soup now? What about Eusoffe Chin who was implicated as well? The gloves are off.... signs of frogs are getting clearer.. maybe not the politicians yet but again... judges from Sabah and Sarawak? Tell that to me again?
No comments needed, his statement left me awe struck and dumbfounded. Indeed there are still honorable people around who put facts before him for a possible recussal... care to be reminded who are those who refused recussal?

What next?
Many names have been bandied around for the new party to be formed. While Dr. M could be credited for bringing UMNO down in 1988, he was also credited for forming a new UMNO Baru which hoodwinked all into believing that it is the OLD UMNO.
Yesterday he quit the party he formed. I really wonder what he will do next? Form another party? What will he call it? While I wanted to write on this earlier, I found Anil Netto beat me to it here in the name of the party. While Netto says its UMNO Baru Baru, I think Dr. M would be more keen to call it UMNO Terkini, to give it a flavour of authority now commanded by Malaysiakini.
While his S46 nemesis now ally... why I am not surprised! Politics can turn sworn enemies into allies and back to enemies in matter of minutes, swore to stay in UMNO and challenge for Presidency, Dr. M is urging those not in favour of AAB to come out. Like it or not, both their actions cancel out each other, and I would see the winner to remain AAB albeit a much weaker UMNO.
Dr. M will not bow out quietly. Over the next few days things will become clearer as to what is going to happen but ultimately, I think, the longer the nation gets stuck in this situation, the worse its going to be for the people. With escalating prices, food crisis, oil crisis, economic crisis... I would rather have a government that is seriously doing their job rather than playing the blame game and fighting for their political survival.
Mahathir - Keeping the Tradition
Dr. M's recent announcement that he has quit UMNO come as no surprise to me as it has been the tradition since Onn Jaafar days. Where the once President of UMNO will one day have to quit the party. Tunku and Tun Hussein Onn did not rejoin UMNO Baru after the old UMNO was made defunct by Dr. M and now he has quit the party he formed. How ironic. Nur Jazlan, the UMNO MP for Kulai summed it all up as a curse, when he said"I'm not surprised. It's like a curse. Almost all the Umno presidents eventually leave the party because they disagree with their successor, from Datuk Onn (Jaafar) to Mahathir. Tun Razak was spared because he died early."
My question however is, will his son Mukhriz quit too? My take is, he will trumpet that he will stay to challenge to establishment in UMNO and to remain the voice of Malays to earn some brownie points.
In all the turbulence, I find it hard to understand why Dr. M, in his last days are playing up the racial card once again. Has he forgotten that during the Reformasi days, he actually has to count on the non-Malay votes to keep him in power? Why is he now using the non-Malays again as punching bag in his effort to remain relevant to UMNO? Certainly UMNO can no longer claim to represent the voice of the people when a wide spectrum of the public across racial lines demand for greater transparency in every aspect of the government, yet there is this spec in UMNO that is unhappy that the PM of Malaysia is trying to do just that!
UMNO, your President who is also the Prime Minister of Malaysia will have to behave as a Prime Minister of ALL Malaysians and not just a President of UMNO. If UMNO really wanted their President to just be their President, then by all means let someone else be the PM of all Malaysians while you stand by the sidelines thumping your chest and raise whatever keris you want to raise.

Dr. M's last Hurrah
Dr. M showed his hand today when he announced his resignation from UMNO Baru, the party that he formed in the aftermath of 1988. It is ironic that he said this, "He said Umno now was no longer the same party that was formed 62 years ago on May 11, 1946. Then Umno fought for the Malay interests, rights and privileges."
Is he trying to tell us that the UMNO that he formed is the same UMNO of 1946? So is it desperation or genius at work? Is he being forced to play his last ace? Does he have any more aces up his sleeve? Although many will quit UMNO as a result and force Abdullah into calling for another General Election, this may play into BN's hand as they will harp on the insecurity should we "rock" the boat further... would it? Or would we now see fit for the tadpoles to turn to frogs QUICK.. PRONTO!
Dr. M for all he is worth would think that he is sacrificing his Queen for a pawn in order to force a cheqmate. Will Abdullah bite? How will he retaliate? To me, Dr. M has lost a lot of credibility, from Lingamgate right upto yesterday's racial card that he played, I would like to think of it as Dr. M is a sinking ship... but then again its a galleon with hundreds of cannons which will not go down quietly.
