MIC - Fight for Survival

Lately, the head honcho of MIC, Uncle Sam is in the news and with some help from the "villainous" Ali Rustam. Wait a minute! Isnt this guy that asks PPP to get lost? Isnt this also the guy that says, BN can win without Chinese and Indian votes? Certainly he has all the credentials to be be the man to help prop up sorry Uncle Sam.

Plucked from malaysiakini some teaser news:

Hindraf tells MIC chief to apologise
Apr 1, 08 2:45pm
The Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) has called on MIC president S Samy Vellu to issue an apology to the families of the movement’s incarcerated leaders and the Indian community.
In a press statement today, Hindraf chairperson P Waythamoorthy said Samy Vellu’s
recent call to free the five leaders held under the Internal Security Act (ISA) was ‘appalling’.
"He was part of the system that incarcerated those "messengers of truth" and suppressed the legitimate voice of democracy....

Nothing else to say.... Waythamoorthy says it all liao

Samy: I did not lie about Mano's wife
Apr 1, 08 4:23pm
MIC president S Samy Vellu today clarified that he did not lie about detained Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) leader M Manoharan's wife approaching him for help.
"I never said she met me. It was only R Kengadharan's wife who met me. Manoharan's wife rang me up twice to seek my help for the release of her husband," he said in a statement.
Manoharan and Kengadharan were among the five Hindraf leaders currently held without trial under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

Put this two news together... I do not think Uncle Sam has got good intentions to help these 5. If this is his "Rejuvenation" plan, then I think all MIC members better start filling out application forms for other political parties la...

'Intentions are genuine'
Meanwhile, Samy Vellu claimed his intentions are genuine in seeking the release of the five who were arrested shortly after organising a mammoth rally on Nov 25 in Kuala Lumpur which drew some 30,000 people.

Intentions are genuine.... MY FOOT!

If genuine they would not have gone in... in the first place. You were a party to it la.. Uncle Sam.. u forgot ah?

MIC leaders defend party boss
Apr 1, 08 1:00pm
MIC leaders today came out in defence of their president S Samy Vellu who was criticised for asking the government to free the five Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) leaders held under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

What other outrageous things these flers will do to justify their relevance? Are the HINDRAF 5 freedom the only thing that Uncle Sam can think of? Is this all that matters to the Indian community? Dei! There are 1001 things wrong... go fix it! You don't have to act holy in this HINDRAF thinggy anymore... you have no right whatsoever to champion the release of this 5! Think of something more creative to be relevant... like Dissolving MIC!
