Zahid on Conversion Notification

KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 — Non-Muslims who are converting to Islam may only have to inform their family after their conversion and not before, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

While I laud Zahid for having that "foresight"

Can he say the same for Muslims wanting OUT? In that they need not go to any courts but just inform their family of their conversion AFTER? And that he guarantee that they need not make any declaration nor be hounded by the Islamic body for doing so? Can it flow both ways?

I really love his idea but if only it works both ways.
